Phoenix aid is looking to identify, research and set up projects that will provide employment and a means of income to those who lack the opportunity to earn a living. We encourage those who have a skill to use it, or those who have resources to expand and utilise them to their best effect. Handicrafts and leather work are both popularly practiced in Bosnia and examples of work produced can be seen on this website.

Rural Community Development

The Bosnian countryside has not had the chemical contamination that western countries advances into industrial agriculture have experienced, thus allowing it to be naturally organic and ready to be utilised for extensive agricultural methods. This also ties in with the tourism potential for the country. The entity of Republika Srpska has a stud of Lipizzanner horses whose ancestry goes back 300 years, and is situated near a spa set in beautiful countryside. Phoenix aid is working closely with the government of Republika Srpska to form the basis of a professionally run stud and allied amenities for the tourist industry in Bosnia.



We are looking to identify ands secure the support of specialist advisors to assist in enhancing productivity, and by bringing in agricultural and business specialists to enable rural families to develop their land thus providing employment for the family and local community.

It is envisaged that rural development of this type will encourage more young people to stay on the land and provide a more stable source of income for current and future generations. The intention of this scheme is to help stop the drift of young people from rural to urban environments by providing greater community stability.
